Well, first off to lump OJ and Ted in is a bit ludricrous. OJ did in fact murder Nicole Brown simpson because he was allowed to get away with it. Ted was never allowed any opportunity whatsoever to prove his case because the Morroco court is obviously corrupt and arbitrary just like the judicial system in many parts of the country today.

Yes I have seen some people excuted for murder and capital crimes as they should be. Just recentlt, J Wesley Neal was excecuted for the robbery of a bank in a samll town near Lawton, Oklahoma. But I've also seen a few people convicted of murder and excuted for political reasons. X42 during his run as Govenor of Arkansas with the exection of an innocent person.

It would be nice if we could address these things in a more congenial fashion, but when people like myself and other freepers are libeled in this way simply because we stand by what we researched and look at, it does no good at all.

We are in a battle for a system that punishes only the guilty and releases innocent people. But when this system becomes ripe with corruption and graft then atlas shrugs and we all come out the losers.

I for one will not buy anything out of Monaco or any country that runs an arbitrary and comprecous out-of-control judicial system like this.

This is not what the foundingfathers idea of the rule of law and heaven forbid we should have a system like this in place here in America anytime soon.

I suppose that's why you won't find a member of the victim's family on a murder jury, or sitting behind the bench. Makes sense, n'est ce pas?

I've never understood all of the 'Free Maher' stuff. The guy is nuts/screwed up and people died. What more is there to the story? What am I missing?? What's the official Monaconspiracy theory??

His 'confession' was forced by the detention of his wife in Monaco for starters.

If he admitted to starting the blaze he is GUILTY and deserves to server his time there.

Arson manslaughter deserves prison time folks.

He was arrested and she was detained within the same jurisdiction? Is that so unusual? I'm not saying there wasn't foul play, but what else?

So she says. Ted's wife, who has posted on this forum, is as nutty as he is.

Maher's escape will assure that he spends the entire ten years in the hoosegow.

His wife was visiting him from the US after he was locked up. Her passport was snatched from her and used to convince Ted to sign what they wanted him to sign, even though he couldn't read French. You could say his 'confession' was coerced, made under duress or torture...

There are lots more allegations of Monaco Gestapo misconduct, but this is off the top of my head.

I knew you'd show up and condemn your fellow Americans in favor of the Monaco Gestapo.

Of course.

But it's the principle I'm interested in. I'm not sure I could (or would) distinguish between premeditated murder and this sort of premeditated reckless manslaughter.

Maher admitted his guilt in a televised trial, when he had a perfect opportunity to expose the "corruption". Instead, he admitted to the facts of the case.

Sorry. Your guy admitted to manslaughter. I don't care if he's an American or not. He's a criminal, by his own mouth.

"Prove his case" WHAT CASE???
He admitted he started the fire, in order to curry favor (scam) his employer, but instead of just causing property damage, he 'accidently' killed 2 innocent people.

If this his version and this is the truth, then he is in the least guilty of manslaughter by US standards. Don't know what the laws are like in Monaco. 10 years doesn't seem so bad.

Now with another conviction as an escaped prisioner he will be in stir for a lot longer.

Seems he concluded that no "official" help would come from America so this Green Beret fell back on old skills, friends (?) for escape and evasion. If they catch this guy "in" europe I will be suprised.

Naive to believe the truth about this whackjob? It's you loaded down with tin foil who is carrying water for this killer...you have Stockholm Syndrome for this loser, as do all the apologists on FR.

Next up, why don't you solve the TRUTH behind the JKF assasination. It suits you.

This Safra case is one strange deal partner. I read a fair amount on it some time back. Very very odd.

I bet Dominick Dunne does a book on it soon.

I can't imagine a prison in Monaco being exactly "gladiator school"....lol

Not that I know of his guilt (or not) I would suggest that Monoco's feel good, warm and fuzzy, interrogation techniques could get "you" or myself to confess to the same crime given a few years of confinement and special "six on one" treatment.

Just my opinion of course.........Stay Safe !

habs, I thought we agreed to not post to each other on this issue? We don't agree. You chose to believe the Monaco trash, and I don't. End of story.
