FLY your flags (and a British one, too)....and put up your BUSH/CHENEY signs, (and the BIG W's on your SUV's) for the STATE of the UNION next Tuesday, if you support the President and the United States of America.

My favorite story of Bush and his style of speaking was a story of Al gore being asked if he liked watch Baseball in a in a "Indoor Stadium" or in an "Outdoor Stadium", Gore responded by giving a long winded speech about the positives of both types of stadiums and concluded that as long as you have fun with family and friends, that's all tha matters.
George W. Bush was asked the exact same question and he smirked and all he said said was ....... "I like Baseball outdoors"

I preferred an article which chided Bush for the so-called neologisms "Grecian" [used synonymously with 'Greek'] and "inebriating" [intoxicating]. I must say Webster's must have been following Bush pretty closely, since by the time I went to look them up both words were in there.

(TAG--you're it!)
A number of these quotes come from the 2000 campaign. Sometimes he gave the same speech several times a day, the press teams assigned to cover him have said that they were bored with their assignment and looked forward to the gaffes he could be counted on making.
Rather than address the issues of his speeches, they sought to belittle him.
Never as governor (or in his campaign against Ann Richards) was his speaking ability brought to the forefront. Wonder how many times he said these same things flawlessly.
