I need to ammend part of the theory, though. As piasa noted on another thread, Massoud didn't die right away--he lived for a few days. So his assassination, while obviously a countermove, was not likely a signal to go ahead with the attack.

Is this the result of the Hatfill "Play" by the FBI??, i.e., did the "Play" make somebody they were watching make a "move".
