Festive inaugural at Texas Capitol

"We're Texans; proud of it," Mr. Perry said in his inaugural address.

With his left hand resting on Sam Houston's Bible, Rick Perry was sworn in Tuesday for his first elected term as Texas governor. "I'm both honored and humbled to take the oath of office as your governor for the next four years," Mr. Perry said. Thousands attended the ceremony on the sunny south steps of the Texas Capitol.

Hey meekie... I'm curious...is your new governor a GW conservative...someone we should watch... I was so focused on national politics this year that I didn't pay much attention to state stuff

THAT BEING SAID...loved it that YOUR Sheila Jackson Lee is threatening (or has ) to propose a repeal of the congressional approval on the war against terrorism....

Regardless, we need to propose something to get rid of her!!!! (Not a personal threat lurkers...just to get someone to vote against her!)
