A simple question. What's so bad about segregation?

Most whites are uncomfortable around blacks.
Most blacks are uncomfortable around whites.

Given their druthers most members of both races self-segregate.

Integration, which is mainly forced, creates nothing but needless friction; on a daily basis.

What great good would be lost if people were free to associate with whoever they wanted to associate with, and not associate with those they did not want to associate with?

For those who will immediately yell "RACIST": I am not talking about seperate drinking fountains.

I am talking about FREEDOM.

Radical idea.

Mostly I suspect your talking about school vouchers, let schools compete for kids because thats the only way they make money, and let the kids select the schools because they know what is best for themselves.

And yes, there is a trend towards some social segretion and the supreme court has ruled that that is constitutional behavior. I like the sound of that, Freedom.

Most people resist being forced to do anything. How about the Left butts out and allows us to all get along naturally.

"Radical idea."

Now you've done it, you injected some common sense into the race issue.

Next, you'll be called names and compared to the white supremacists, the KKK, and any other 'whites only' group.

Hold your ears.

Most blacks are uncomfortable around whites.

Renee: How do you know this? That's from your point of view. Are you uncomfortable around black or white people? If so, why? Such fears are more cultural. A black and a white person growing up in the same environment have more in common than than a black and a white person growing up on opposite sides of the country. Otherwise what's the reasoning behind Rush Limbaugh and Clarence Thomas being good enough friends to have CT officiate at Rush's wedding?

Integration, which is mainly forced, creates nothing but needless friction; on a daily basis.

Renee: I never believed in forced intergration given what I've seen on history TV. You can't make someone like someone they hate. I can't make Louis Farrakhan or Khalid Muhammad like me.

What great good would be lost if people were free to associate with whoever they wanted to associate with, and not associate with those they did not want to associate with?

Renee: There would not be any. I think people naturally bond together. My point would be proven by having people naturally mix together and not make people to anything they don't want.

For those who will immediately yell "RACIST": I am not talking about seperate drinking fountains.

Renee: I don't know you. I wouldn't call someone a racist that I don't know. When you say segregation that brings back memories of Ole Miss, etc. lynchings, murders, etc. so you should expect to be called a racist. It doesn't make it right though!
