You know, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if the lefties and race baiters don't figure out a way to turn that statistic into a "Racism in the Ranks" arguing point. "Blacks being denied the chance to die for their country!" (that sort of thing). The argument doesn't have to make sense- nothing else about the liberals or their political positions is coherent- why should this be an exception?

You're dead on with that comment. Look at the whole draft proposal. They want the draft so their demonstrations can focus on sending unwilling draftees to war. Then you'll see End the Draft Now posters.In a pre internet, pre Rush world they may have gotten away with this. But now even some "mainscream" press fears ignoring evidence lest they be accused of liberal bias. Thus USA's story, even with its seeming slurs against rural whites and implications of racism, still has t run the stats lest they show up on Rush or FOXNews.
