President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House this morning to go to Landover, Maryland, where the President, joined by Condoleezza Rice, spoke to the congregation of First Baptist Church of Glenarden on the anniversary honoring slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. He was welcomed warmly and given a standing ovation by the congregation, and spoke from his heart of the prejudice still holding people back, and the need for healing the hurt and hopelessness that still exist . On Sunday, the President announced his proposal to increase spending to historically black and Hispanic colleges, and universities by 5%. Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

My husband's stepfather passed away. We drove to Southern California for a week, helping her with belongings and legal matters. Then hubby escorted Nanny to Arlington Nat'l Cemetery to bury Sonny. psychogirl decided to have a projectile vomiting party during the week, which was not fun. :o/ So...that's what we did on our summer vacation.
