Ya know, Shermy, that if a real life 16-year-old girl was involved and not a cop in an internet sting, it makes the reduction of charges to a low-level misdemeanor--with a sealed record to boot AND with no jail time, no fine, no probation, no NOTHING--even more baffling, especially since the ADA didn't tell the DA about the charges until HE found out from a reporter. What would've made the ADA risk her job of 15 years to cover for Scott Ritter?

$$$$. This might be the smoking gun on Ritter. Could it be that someone paid $$$ to the asst DA to cover this up for Ritter? Who might THAT have been?

Shortly thereafter, Ritter starts making the talk show circuit singing a new tune on Saddam and Iraq. Hmmm...

Exactly my thoughts, there is a lot more to this if we can find out who is really behind the cover up, and why.

You have hit the nail right on the head. That Scott Ritter would do something like this does not shock me one bit. However, the bigger question IMO is why a prosecutor would put at risk her job to protect him from the charges.

Something is fishy about this story and I'm hoping a good detective/reporter figures it out.
