Police Can't Confirm Ritter's Arrest (New Detail and Mug Photo)

ALBANY, NY, Jan. 20 - Scott Ritter of Delmar is well known internationally as an outspoken, former U.N. weapons inspector. Now more information is coming to light about Ritter's past and a disturbing arrest.

COLONIE POLICE CANNOT comment on whether or not they actually arrested Ritter on charges he solicited an underage girl over the Internet. They say this is because if an arrest was made, it was sealed due to court proceedings.

However, NewsChannel 13 reported in June 2001 about an arrest of a 39-year-old William Ritter of Delmar on charges he tried to lure a 16-year-old girl he met on the Internet to a Burger King in Menands. According to police, the intent of that meeting was so that she could watch him perform sexual acts on himself.

At that time police said William Ritter was arrested before doing anything, but was facing multiple misdemeanor charges for trying to solicit an underage girl for sexual reasons.<...snip...>

This is very very interesting. In the past we have been so concerned about people in our government having a weak spot that would enable the enemy to capitalize.

Here we have it coming out in full force...which begs the question..what did he know and when did he know it. It seems to me we need a full blown investigation to find out if he did anything that would lead to a treason charge.

Well, my theory (and feel free to shoot it down, many have already done so) is that certain people found Ritter useful as an anti-Bush spokesperson. Note how when he talks he calls the people in the administration "Bush" and "Cheney."

My theory is that said people found out about his predilection and forced him to become a public spokesperson for Saddam and against the USA. Open knowledge about his arrest would have ended his usefulness (as I hope this article now causes) and so said people quashed the arrest record and report.

I am thinking the Clintons werre involved. They would wield more influence in ALbany County (and more fear) than Iraqi agents, although Saddam may have agents there as well.
