The U.S. military ordered 12,500 soldiers from Fort Hood to deploy to unnamed destinations to support the war on terrorism, base officials announced Monday. The soldiers at the vast military installation in Central Texas are part of a U.S. order to deploy 37,000 soldiers from 10 installations including Fort Sill, near Lawton, Okla., and Fort Bliss, near El Paso, Texas, spokesman Cecil Green said.
