And WTC had nothing to do with Iraq per se. Bush knew he was going after Hussein when he took office. (Something I basically agree with - but that's off topic)

Spokane Washington has arrested more than a dozen perverts this last year. An undercover female vice officer poses as a 13 year old girl in chat rooms. When an adult comes on to her, and she lets him know that she is "13 years old", a meeting is set up at a local motel. When the pervert arrives expecting a 13 year old girl he is arrested on the spot and charged with solicitation of sex with a minor. Happens every week.

This is ALWAYS the way the Big Boys control people. This kind of use of the executive branches of various governments is the foundation, walls, and ceiling of the power of scoundrels like Clinton. If you oppose them and you're pure and clean and incorruptable (as much as a human can be), or if you are so openly soiled that you have nothing to lose, they find a way of getting you on an airplane that crashes, or simply gun you down at an intersection, or have some scum mug you and kill you.

By the way, this underage stuff is the perfect tool, because to fight a charge means to expose yourself publicly, and people are loathe to expose themselves publicly even as a POSSIBLE pedophile, no?

I would like to adjust your statement about there being one party. I think a more accurate description of what happens in this country is what someone once said: "there may be two parties, and they may hate each other, but when it comes to corruption, they close ranks." I would also maintain that they close ranks when anyone insists they govern under the limitations of the Constitution (the refusal to do so is what makes all this corruption possible). The Liberterians would be pretty much just as bad if they were ever to get to office, because many of their candidates have no personal character, and would be compromised and tempted beyond their ability to resist, in our current evil climate.

You're right on the smell test DAncon. Perhaps a FR legal mind can answer:

why would the matter be adjourned? Circumstances for such action?
why seal the case and decline to release the arrest records? again, circumstances?

And what's with the anonymity on the part of LE? BTW, as I read it, the situation is *not* a kiddie porn issue - in which the FBI was hot 'n heavy in 2001 investigations (maybe still?).

I don't recall ever hearing about someone being arresting for having a sexual conversation via the internet, even if it is with a minor.

Usually LE gets the perp to meet the person they believe is a minor, and that's when the sting occurs and the person is arrested.

Uh...they do it all the time. Undercover officers pose as children (and sometimes as adults looking for another adult to procure them a child). All over the internet. A rendezvous is arranged. When the perp shows up at the rendezvous, he's nailed by the cops, who have caught him red handed.

Two years ago, there was a case where an undercover agent posing as an adult looking for someone to procure for him a couple of pre-teen girls.

A man...a FATHER bit. A price was agreed to. The father was nabbed when he showed up at the rendezvous with his two pre-teen daughters to sell.

As much as you might like to blame everything on the Bush administration, this stuff has been going on for a while. THAT is why there ARE such internet sting operations to begin with.
