This preacher's duty is to teach the Word not stir up a hornet's nest. I see no good coming from deliberately trying to insult another religion.

This preacher needs to pay more attention to his own house of worship, by using Reverend as his title, he seems not to have read the Bible, it says to reverence no man. We Christians are to set the example.

Teaching the Bible from Old to New will upset plenty of people if that is what one is after, no need to try and start a fight.

Given all the "religion of peace" posts on this site, I'd say your words will fall on deaf ears at best.

I agree. This sign is nothing more than an insult, intended to inflame passions. I doubt any Islamic believer will see that sign and say "oh, I guess I was wrong" and convert. It's as effective as saying "Muslums are stupid and Christians are smart, and better looking".

"I see no good coming from deliberately trying to insult another religion"

I am niether christian, nor muslim.

The phrase 'another religion' denotes (to me) a cultural equivalance. No such equivalance exists. The Islamic world is backwards, totalitarian, and evil. Let's not fear being clear on this.

You're so right. Also, I believe this attempt to get into a period of one-upsmanship between religions reflects badly on so-called Christians.

The Word is good and right because it is, not because it is better in comparison to some other faith.

Who are you to say what this preachers duty is? You've never heard of St. Stephen? It's called Christianity, not Pollianity.

I have some significant sympathy with your perspective.

I do believe the fellow seems to have a significant pride problem that he would do well to get on top of very emphatically and well before publically, much less sternly exhorting others--not to mention other religions with such an authoritarian stance.

NEVERTHELESS, I'm glad SOMEONE else besides Graham et al is showing the courage to speak some truth about Islam in the public square.

What like Satanism? Or the Aztec religion that demanded hearts to be cut out of hundreds of living victims daily lest the sun not rise? Condeming evil religious practices has never been frowned upon.
