I remember that case vividly since I was pregnant myself at the time - it was so heartbreaking and disturbing....

and I recall it was 'late '89... about 13 yrs ago.

That creep did everyone a favor by killing himself (jumped off a bridge?)
I would imagine they are 'watching' Scott for similar suicidal behaivor.

FWIW, the policy was written during a time and for an amount that seem totally reasonable. Money might be a motive, and police are right to consider it, but it isn't necessarily an indicator of guilt.

The girlfriend is much more significant, especially if there is any evidence that he wanted to dump his wife.

But what if he wanted to dump the girlfriend? She wouldn't be the first woman scorned to go after the "obstacle" to her happiness, to get her out of the way to get her man back.

When they clear the girlfriend, that's when I'm going to start calling him the scum of the earth.
