PARIS -- Jewish parents tell their sons not to wear yarmulkes. A rabbi is stabbed. Elderly women are frisked before entering synagogues -- just in case. As the stresses of being Jewish in France multiply, some feel it safer to hide their religion. Others have decided the only solution is to pack up and leave -- more than twice as many as a year earlier, according to statistics by the Jewish Agency.

WHY THE JEWS??????? The Shocking Explanation for the World's Longest Hatred.
Oy Vey! An Osama wannabe on FreeRepublic. What country are you from? Your spelling of "odour" should reveal the answer unless it is a typo.
IMO,the problem is rooted mostly in jealousy, and the fact that the Jews mostly remain aloof from others. Yes,I know that Jews became a "seperate society" from the others because the others historically shut them out,but this doesn't change the fact that most people don't see or understand this, and that they resent a small, successful group of people who remain seperate from themselves. Being self-identified as "God's Chosen People" doesn't help them, either.
Call me a pessimist, but I'm thinking that "marriage" probably wouldn't have worked out real well.
That's completely false. Don't write if you don't know !

It was a question more than a statement. I do not read French so maybe you can tell me if this council is a governmentaly sanctioned body like the Muslim one.
Hank
I don't believe that for a minute. If you had stated,"MOST of the incidents involved Moslems",I could have gone along with it. There is no shortage of Jew-haters amongst the non-Muslim French population, and I'm positive some of these people are responsible for some of the violence against Jews. As far as that goes, these same people are probably also responsible for some of the violent acts against Muslims in France.
Let's not forget to include one of the most powerful political organizations in with these groups, the Catholic Church. Before all you Catholics get your panties all in a bunch over this,I am refering to the historic Catholic Church, not the one of today.
I think the problem here is the lack of a better word to identify cultural Jews from religious Jews. I use the term "cultural Jews" to identify those who are Jewish PURELY due to the accident of birth, and the term "religious Jews" to identify those Jews who are Jewish to the core of their souls. I realize this is inadequate, but if better identifiers are to come, they will have to come from the Jews themselves.
At any rate, the "cultural/accidential Jews" are the ones who push the diversity movement. For the most part, they are only Jews when it is convenient.
The answer to that is obvious. Better a enemy you can identify and control than one who is secret that you can't influence.
There is another perspective......
We use to live near the Amish in Eastern PA....Now there is a very unique and purposefully seperated (from everything else)group of people.....
think about it..strange dress, even stranger living habits....quaint....against modernization....deeply religious....family oriented.......close to the earth!<p.But they are not hated in any way shape or form. That is puzzeling vis a vis the Jews.....don't you think?
Many Americans have an intense dislike for the French...... and it has absolutely nothing to do with any religion....Jewish included.
It has much more to do with their view of America. Many feel that a large portion of the French population are unduly argumentative, quarelsome, anti-American via jealousy, and overly pro Russian. Example? Politely ask for directions to a local person in Paris and nine times out of ten they will give you the wrong directions and laugh behind your back.....happy to create problems
Recall also that a large portion of the French were pro German during the occupation.....and the French military was split against the Allies until they saw which way the wind was blowing. In North Africa Roosevelt had little confidence that the pro German Vichy French would not kill large numbers of Americans....People conveniently forget these things.
Yes, I know...not ALL the French!!!
Please see my #115. Thanks
