I'd never really handled a gun before. DK and I were racking our brains what to get each other for Christmas about 3 years ago and he said he wanted a gun. So we went up to our local gun shop/range and tried some out. He settled on a Ruger 9mm. Then he told me to try some out as he wanted me to learn how to shoot for self defense as Memphis is such a HIGH crime city and our son's killer was getting out of prison soon.

Well I tried the revolvers and the 9mms and the butts were just to big for my hand. Found the Bersa to be a perfect fit.

Then he took me out onto the range and loaded ONE bullet into it. Then ran the target out about 10 feet. Showed me how to stand and aim. I hit the target with that first shot. Then he loaded in a second bullet and I made a decent hit again. Then he loads in the third and FINAL bullet again I hit the target.

I went home HOOKED. He took his CCW class about 2 months before I did as I needed tons of range time where he being an old farm boy didn't need much at all.

When I went to take my CCW class I broke 2 toes the night before. Then that morning I woke up with a 101 temp and ached all over. I scored the lowest in my class BUT I passed it.
