Stupid pills...Classic...I think I'll go off to recess after I finish my milk Mom...

People here are whining on Daschle because he keeps saying he hasn't seen any evidence. Shut him up and show him. He backed Bush, voting for military action if the administration includes the Congress. Don't even show to it the public, I agree on the danger, show the leadership if he's so confident everybody will back him.

Wouldn't he put the troops we have in other hot spots in the world in harm's way when these countries (NKorea, Iran, etc.) see the sources of this treasure trove of information?

All I want is independent verification of wrongdoing, and we got that. Don't prance and tease with "gold mine of information." If the bombs are dropping, why show the information anyway?

Please, take a breath, and explain it to this person. If I'm way behind on this, the universities I went to have some splainin' to do...

Gee, I wonder why the RATS on the Armed Services Committee didn't show up for Rumsfeld's private briefing today - if the CARE so much and want to BE MADE AWARE! Give me a break!

You fail to take into account the reason for Daschle saying that he hasn't seen any evidence:

He's lying.

Daschle is given an intelligence briefing at least once a week. He has NUMEROUS times been caught in either misrepresenting what he was told or in outright fabrication. The "Shadow Government" flapdoodle was a case in point. He claimed to know nothing about contingency plans if there was a disaster in the government and yet it was documented that he had been given a tour of the bunker where he was to be hidden in the event of attack!

Daschle is a liar, and I do not expect the President to disclose intelligence prematurely just to shut him up.

Let me try to explain this!

Daschle has seen a lot of evidence but he lies. We had an example of RATs today. SecDef Rumsfeld invited new members of the Armed Services Committee to come to a classified briefing at the Pentagon. No DemocRATs showed up while the new Republicans did. At the same time daschle goes around saying Rumsfeld won't brief the DemocRATs. You know what we have -- daschle lies, and lies, and lies!

Second point: your comments about what you learned in college is null and void. I have two kids in college and they have yet to have a course in Intelligence gathering by the CIA so I am sure that you have not as well.

Third point: I wouldn't brief the Senate because they leak and I and the rest of this Country don't have a right to know something that may get our sources killed. That source could be someone's brother or sister -- did that ever occur to you!

The level of stupidity about what should be common sense is amazing!

It's really quite simple: If you think you're going to war with Iraq, you don't reveal to Iraq a) what you know about their stuff, and b) how you learned about it. And to prevent Iraq from knowing, you don't tell anybody who doesn't need to know it.

As for Daschle, he's lying, and Rumsfeld has called him on it. As for the Senate leadership, they've seen it too.

Bottom line: we're not at the point yet where releasing that info has no effect. For a lot of the info, we may never reach that point.

You'll feel the addiction soon enough, creeping through your bones, waking you up at 5am to come catch up. You may want to include your spouse as very soon you won't have much time for him/her :)
