DASCHLE IS ON THE FLOOR OF THE SENATE right now. HE is saddened and disappointed over the Presidents decision today on Civil RIghts. He must think that he is still in the majority. Reid was on the floor earlier, interrupting one of the republican senators. He said that he had just spoken to senator Daschle, who had been meeting with Byrd and Stevens over the appropriations and they would be coming to the floor soon to discuss their decisions. Instead Daschle is trashing our president over his sppech on affirmative action. Daschle must have gotten permission from Hiliary to make his comments.

Bush knows he will never have the support of the Yellow Dog Dems, so why should he do the "wrong thing" just for their votes, which he won't get anyway.
