Several of us saw this on O'Reilly last night. Gibson said that the reporter was "sent."
We don't think Gibson meant the reporter was sent by Howell Raines. We all got the impression, from Mr. Gibson's facial expression and vocal tone, that he meant "sent by Satan."
Honestly, when he said it it made the hair on my neck stand up. I think he was dead serious.

I see you're up bright and early.
I have to ditto what Miss Marple said....watching Mel's eyes when he mentioned that he thinks someone was *sent* gave me shivers....
The powers of evil are at work everywhere.

We all got the impression, from Mr. Gibson's facial expression and vocal tone, that he meant "sent by Satan."I run across a lot of nominal "Christians" who don't think Satan exists anymore... I guess they assume that the incandescent light and indoor plumbling have taken care of Old Scratch. Would that that were the case! God has already kicked Lucifer right in the old everlasting slats, but a believer is delusional if he thinks the devil no longer makes anything but cameo appearances.

I thought the exact same thing when I heard him say this. There is no doubt in my mind that he was referring to Satan.

I watched his exchange with O'Reilly with keen interest last night.
It never occured to me that the way he meant "sent" meant as in "from Satan".
But, now upon reflection....it did give that impression possibly.
He sure makes some inspirational films. I wonder who his studio is on this one.....distribution should be interesting.

OH really! Sent by Satan! yikes! From the way he talked last night I think Mel has certainly got a good handle on what he believes. That is fantastic.
Jim Caviezel is portraying Jesus in this film. He is a devout Catholic as well and I will be VERY interested to see how the media portrays this film. I am sure it will be terrible to watch, but watch it I will, IF it gets released in major markets.
Go Mel!

I never took Mel Gibson for a paranoid schizophrenic. Or is he collaborating with Jack Chick?
