LACI PETERSON UPDATE- 1-14-03
Fox News- On The Record
| 1-14-03
| Greta Van Sustern
Posted on 01/15/2003 1:12:22 AM PST by DWar
Van Sustren interviewed 20 year Berkley Bay fisherman Craig Stone. Stone said that nothing about what Scott Peterson did on the fishing trip to Berkley Bay seemed out of the ordinary to him from a fishing viewpoint. The bait was appropriate and available. The sturgeon were available. The boat size was not unusual. The optimal fishing area was not far off shore. The fish are prized but not easily caught. The time of day peterson was fishing was appropriate. It all seemed plausable to him.

KSFO is out of San Fran...
The diaper plant used to be in Modesto. I only knew the managers though. Most of them have moved. Local know what i mean.
My best friends in laws live in Patterson. I go there all the time.

The Bierenbaum case was fascinating. Vanity Fair had an in-depth article about it a few months ago. What a creep he is.
To: texasbluebell
Yes, a real creep, and just one more in the long line of wife-murdering doctors.
What is it with these guys that makes them think they are above the law?
Why not just divorce the woman?
To: Palladin
money and arrogance
To: Howlin
Are you kidding? I've got a regular 3-way going on right now. I'm wondering if this is a hoax or even worse a money scam. There are also lots of small time convicts in Turlock more than willing to try to make a deal for less time served for phoney info.

WOW--thanks, howlin!
I read the post and have been reading this ever-expanding thread ever since.
I wish I knew the source for the allegation that none of Laci's shoes were missing. Seems as though these things just come out of the air. But the affair thing, now we have at least 2 or 3 news sources reporting it! Looks like this one's for real.
And what of "Krista," the insensitive guestbook poster? Looks like she knew something all right.
As several have said, this doesn't make him guilty. But then, Gary Condit wasn't made guilty by his refusal to admit an affair. Yet "the jury is still out", so to speak, on each of these men. This deception on Scott's part makes me suspect him more, I must admit.

Remind me about Krista. I have forgotten her.

On Laci's official website, there's a guestbook, and a person signing herself as "Krista" from Modesto wrote: (paraphrasing)"So sad about Laci, I really feel for her and her family. But Scott had a girlfriend, and was not as excited about this baby as Laci was."
To: Howlin
hell hath no fury like a woman's-friend scorned. Don't know if she is for real, but wouldn't surprise me if Krista was a friend who didn't like scott and ? fooling around.
To: Devil_Anse
And then another sharp freeper noticed that at least one news article had mentioned that one of the searchers for Laci was a "friend" of the couple named Krista Hamilton. We never found out if she was THE Krista, however.
To: Howlin
Ah, so Scott the fertilizer salesman was also spreading it.
Hmmmm...thanks for the ping.

Whoever Krista is, her information might still be accurate. Whenever some guy is having an affair, you know how there is always at least one person who is dying to tell the betrayed party about it. Since the allegedly betrayed party, in this case, is missing, the busybody would have to be content with blabbing to the betrayed party's family--and to Scott's family.

Back to trying to figure out why Scott has shunned the media. Many logical explanations for this behavior--some, not too admiring of Scott--have been suggested.
You don't suppose this girlfriend, if there is one, was actually in the dark as to Scott's marital status? That both the girlfriend and the wife were fooled simultaneously? Man, what a way to find out your "dreamboat" was, um, not really available for a spring wedding next year!
they obviously aren't taking much care of the guestbook:
First Name : Scott
City : Medesto [sic]
Message : Will you people just get off my ass already???

There is no lake IN Turlock. TULLOCH lake is about 1 1/2 hrs from Turlock. Turlock lake is about 1 hr away from Turlock.

Regarding the LA volunteer center shutting down.
VOLUNTEER EFFORTS REACH OUT TO LOS ANGELES A one day effort to broaden the search effforts of Laci Peterson to Southern California. On Sunday, January 19, 2003, between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. volunteers can pick up flyers and posters of Laci to post in their neighborhoods, storefront windows and cars. Click Here For More Information
This is still up on one of the Laci sites. A phone message continues to encourage volunteers to attend the one day effort on Sunday in LA.

I've seen more brides than I care to remember at their bachelorette parties chasing men like crazy. And any guy who dares reciprocate gets a serious talking to by the rest of the women.
Guess I hung out in bars too much. But thats why I can imagine a friend knowing what was up and giving away scott's secret. Just don't know why it took so long.
To: Devil_Anse
Uh oh......did they remove it?
