LACI PETERSON UPDATE- 1-14-03
Fox News- On The Record

Van Sustren interviewed 20 year Berkley Bay fisherman Craig Stone. Stone said that nothing about what Scott Peterson did on the fishing trip to Berkley Bay seemed out of the ordinary to him from a fishing viewpoint. The bait was appropriate and available. The sturgeon were available. The boat size was not unusual. The optimal fishing area was not far off shore. The fish are prized but not easily caught. The time of day peterson was fishing was appropriate. It all seemed plausable to him.

Regarding your post number 36, you came thru, congratulations. I think we need to remember that the National Enquirer was the only periodical that found a photo of OJ in his Bruno Magli shoes whioch he said he never owned. This was AFTER the first trial ... and during the civil trial. Tabloids have fairly stringent vetting.

So what specifically did they say on CBS? Are police confirming this?

So what specifically did they say on CBS? Are police confirming this? I never watch CBS ... but they were on the tail end of the news. Female reporter came on and said she had news that MAY affect the Laci Peterson case. Said that it was now established that Scott Peterson WAS having "an affair" at the time of his wife's death. Iglanced up and there was a film clip of the back of a blonde woman's head ... she appeared to be kissing someone (not clear who from what I saw).
That was it. Very short.
To: wimpycat
No police confirmation. In fact, no mention of the police at all.

Thanks!

More from National Enquirer:
A woman called to say, "Why are TV shows carrying photos of Scott Peterson and talking about his missing wife. He's my boyfriend."
The woman told incredulous cops that she lived in a nearby city and was dating Scott, who told her he was divorced.
What's more, sources told The Enquirer that Scott may have taken out a large life insurance policy on his wife.
Cops are puzzled, said the close source. Scott is the main breadwinner in the family, while Laci stopped working as her pregnancy advanced.
But police are investigating if allegations are true that Laci only had a small policy on Scott, while he took a big one on her.
Police searching a warehouse rented by Scott, a fertilizer salesman, found bags of cement and a bucket, according to the insider.
"Scott told them he'd been mixing cement in the bucket to make heavy anchors for his boat. Cops say criminals have been known to use "cement boots" to weigh down bodies and drop them in the water.
Scott Peterson has not been named as a suspect in the case, but police also say that they have not ruled him out.

I've had about enough of Scott Ritter, and not just today.
