Please keep this in Breaking News for the time being so we can get everyone on board to take action to call their Senators.
Thanks much

I've called both my Republican Senators and chewed out the poor individual who answered the phone on the ineptness of the Republicans to fight for their just won rewards. I also told them that the time for the kid gloves treatment of the Democrats is long-gone...just fight like a democrat...

Finally, tonight on Brit's News show, the republican senators are on, explaining what's going on, what's holding up the business of the senate. Until tonight, I did not know the seriousness of what was going on. When Russert asked Frist when the committees would be ready for business, Frist said that very night. Today on Imus, two days later, Frist said, a deal was close, but on neither show did Frist blast the democrats unconstitutional effort to retain control of the Senate, and he sure didn't sound angry.
Frist and the Republicans sure better stand up to the democrats on this. It's a test..an important one..to see what Frist is made of.
Thanks for this thread.

This is what I wrote to both Boxer and Feinstein...
Dear Ms. Boxer,
As a taxpayer I will not tolerate this stunt from the Democrats to withhold Committee Chairmanships from Republicans.
This is to remind you that there are 11 new Senators without Committees and I am holding you, and your party, responsible for this attempt to hijack the Senate!
I didn't refer to either of them as "Senator" ...simply Ms., as neither of them are acting like Senators!!!
Great Thread - THANK YOU for reminding us to write and call!

I called Landrieu and Breaux's offices and told them to start acting with some honor and dignity and to stop being obstructionist.

Who decides who will head the committees? Of my two Senators Kyl
may still have two legs to stand on but McCain is more interested in his own petty hurts to care about the people here or around the country. These political battles are not what we elected and sent people to Washington to engage in.
I am writing, calling and e-mailing...put their feet in the fire folks, this childish and dangerous behavior from our elected has to be stopped.

Unfortunately, my senator is john mccain. 'nuff sed.
Others who have called his office have been treated very rudely or were hung up on.
Well, at least I can bump this thread!
