The Democrats are in the process of shutting down the Senate to stop the GOP from chairing Senate hearings.

Just called Sen. Graham to tell his office that since the senator would like to lead the nation, he could start by exhibiting some leadership on the floor right now and stop the obstructionism by the Dems.

I wouldn't last 5 minutes on the Senate floor, I'd cross the aisle and punch them in the mouth.

I am prety sure that you are allowed to do that. I remember that there is a Senate rule that says that no Senator can be held liable for any action on the Senate floor. About a hundred years ago, one Senator beat the tar out of another Senator with a gutta-percha cane.

No matter who is nominated to the SC, it will get ugly. The Dems narrowly avoided losing Roe v. Wade in the 80's when they borked Bork and couldn't believe their luck when we found out who Souter really was. They know they'll have to fight even harder this time, especially if O'Connor retires.

Been e-mailing both sides..Dems to tell them they lost and to tell Repubs to stand tough. I am so MAD !! We need to make up flyers to leave on cars and doors at every home in our home towns. Maybe if evryone could watch C-span2 people would wake up!!

Definately, keep trying. I believe the dems are thinking we really don't care about this. They shouldn't believe the pundits, the people spoke on November 5th.

Did you see the article on Roll Call? Daschle had previously stated back in October~2002 that they would not honor the type of agreement of the 107th, if they even got 1 vote. Now they are fighting to make the majority honor it. This has to backfire on them quickly.
