If this continues to get out of hand, the ruling elite will start thinking about bringing back the death penalty - for tax cheats.

Hmmm, we've facilitated the presence of between three and five million illegal aliens in our state, but have just now woken up to the reality that they deal in under the table cash transactions. LOL, I realize this article isn't addressing that issue directly. After all, we never do, do we.

Dear Tom Rankin:
"We'd like to see enforcement beefed up," said Tom Rankin, president of the California Labor Federation. "This is a problem that is getting worse with no end in sight."......HARHARHARHARHAR (LMAO)......Yeah, right, Tom....knock yourself out trying to beef up enforcement on a zillion illegal Mexicans.....I know they will comply right off.......

An off-the-books economy is stealing billions in revenue.
This headline shows what's wrong with the perceptions in the media and the government. What is really happening is that the government is stealing billions from the hard working taxpayers, but you can bet your last money order sent to Mexico that the Bee staff would never even think of it that way let alone write something as blasphemous (yes I mean blasphemous - the state is religion to liberals) as suggesting what the government does is theft. (But of course it is)

An off-the-books economy is stealing billions in revenue Taxation for unreasonable state expense is nothing more than government stealing; and legislation in return for campaign contributors is nothing more than total corruption.

Funny...
The solution, of course, is to reduce taxes to the point that the underground economy does not seem quite so attractive.

It's only a matter of time until cash is illegal.
