SEE...SEE...Border security = RACISM!!!

Ashcroft's voice, Grijalva added, "is needed now to make clear that private armed groups claiming law enforcement powers have no role in patrolling our border with Mexico."
Um, if you won't call out the National Guard to resist invasion, what do you expect people to do? Stand around and cheer on the rushing hordes?

U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva stepped up his campaign to crack down on vigilantes Monday by inviting Attorney General John Ashcroft to come to Southern Arizona to see the threat they pose to border security. The destruction of the clarity of the English language that Clinton started continues apace with this bunch...

There's only one racist here. It's the one that thinks people of a certain ethnicity should be exempt from the immigration laws that everyone else in the world has to obey. This man is a traitor to our nation. The fact that traitors like this are elected to nationwide office makes me think the reconquista has already been successful.

"We the people" empowered the goverment, and it is "We the people" who retained specific individual rights to handle government neglect situations.

Aha! So, it's "racist" to even suggest that our borders must be secured, much less actually do something about a problem that our own government can not or will not. Gotcha.

U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva.... Is this bum working for Mexico or the United States?

I've been trying to follow this issue of citizen border patrols and just doesn't make sense to me. It seems counter-productive.
The un-official, un-written policy on these illegals is that if they get caught trying to enter, they are sent back. But if they don't get captured while entering, they may stay.
By patroling the border, the citizen patrol is buying into that un-official policy.
What they really need to do is patrol a restaurant and apprehend a busboy. This would accomplish several things:
It would generate a lot more media exposure.
It would point out how easy it is for INS to locate an illegal.
It would serve to identify those that employ illegals.
It would serve as an oppurtunity to point a finger at the restaurant patrons whose actions are promoting illegal immigration.

Grijalva is working for the Mexican government and like all the political officials in Mexico, he does not care one iota about these people ----if any of them did they'd work to improve their lives in Mexico. A bunch of liars is all any of them are. I also don't see Grijalva doing much to get his government to solve the murders of over 350 young women and girls in his own country brutally murdered on the Mexican side of the border. Their lives don't advance his political agenda so they don't matter.

This guy has the intellect of a turnip. Hey now, there's no need to go on insulting perfectly good vegetables by comparing them to this worthless, cheese eating, sand pounding, demonrat politico!
That said, this guy is more clueless than LIEberman and daschle.
It's RACISM that people don't want ILLEGALS crossing through their property... gimme a break.

I doubt that these 'vigilantes' stop to ask the race of the individual attempting to cross our borders illegally. They are merely stepping up to enforce the law in a way the government seems unable or unwilling to do. Sort of a 'citizen's arrest' kind of thing. So I have to wonder how Grijalva could explain why he calls them 'racist'.
