Islam means peace. To a Muslim, this is a definition of "peace", not islam. To a Muslim, there can be no peace ourside of Islam.

Stay vigilent, stay armed, never trust either a muslim or a liberal (both are terrorists, they just use slightly different weapons)!

On its website CAIR says that it was established in order to "promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in America," and declares that "we believe misrepresentations of Islam are most often the result of ignorance on the part of non-Muslims and reluctance on the part of Muslims to articulate their case."

CAIR continues to misrepresent Muslim scholar
Cut and paste tactics divisive for American Muslim Community
For Immediate Release 4/4/2000
(Washington, DC) In a recent press statement released by CAIR (American Muslim Media Watch 3/30/2000), the organization once again misrepresented statements of Islamic scholar, Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani.
In their excerpted version of Gary Rosenblatts, Monitoring the Muslim Threat, CAIRs selective edits of the article juxtapose Shaykh Kabbani with those whom CAIR consistently vilifies as enemies of Islam. Moreover, it seems the advocacy organization would like to re-ignite last years fury over statements made at the State Department in January 1999.
By the use of their editorial tactics, CAIR enhances divisiveness within the American Muslim community once again, as they quote statements out of context, said ISCA Vice President, Mateen Siddiqui. The quote about extremism has been explained in detail in formal responses, press statements and public statements, yet CAIR refuses to clarify Shaykh Kabbanis statement; rather, they continue to misrepresent him in more subtle ways now.
Last year, in a State Department Open Forum on the topic of extremism, Shaykh Kabbani was quoted as saying that the methodology or ideology of extremists has been spread to 80% of the Muslim population, but not all of them agree with it. While he said this in the context of the population being exposed to this ideology, he continuously reiterated that the majority of Muslims are peace-loving and tolerant. Due to CAIRs releases on this subject over one year ago, much confusion and furor resulted.
ISCA calls on CAIR to be more discretionary when excerpting articles out of context, lest they continue to create more confusion within the American Muslim community. We take this opportunity to remind CAIR that they represent themselves and their members, not the entire American Muslim community.

......Muslim spokesmen claim, and this bigotry gives rise to acts of violence against Muslims...... Just where is all this violence against Muslims happening?
It seems that I keep hearing about Muslim violence against Jews, Christians, and others.........
I am beginning to believe that Islam has two definitions of the word Violence

'islam' the so-called religion the hate-America-first perverted left tries to equate with Christianity and Judaism, (they're so fond of saying it has 1.4 BILLION adherents, as if quantity = legitamacy) is nothing more than a Satanic cult of death whose primary targets are Jews, Christians, and the West.
NO MUSLIMS, NO TERROR.

Pipes adds: "Jihad was no abstract obligation through the centuries, but a key aspect of Muslim life. . . . Within a century after the prophets death in 632, Muslim armies had reached as far as India in the east and Spain in the west. Though such a dramatic single expansion was never again to be repeated, important victories in subsequent centuries included the seventeen Indian campaigns of Mahmud of Ghazna (r. 998-1030), the battle of Manzikert opening Anatolia (1071), the conquest of Constantinople (1453), and the triumphs of Uthman dan Fodio in West Africa (1804-17). In brief, jihad was part of the warp and woof not only of premodern Muslim doctrine but of premodern Muslim life." Islam gains its power from the frustrations of its underclass. For the early Arab fighters, the loot from conquest meant that they could afford to support a wife, and the female captives from conquest were a supply of wives. Once the conquering expansion of Islam was halted, Islam degenerated into poverty.
