I agree with you 100 percent David.
But these online polls have absolutely no effect on swaying leaders or public opinion, IMHO.
They are fun though.
actually I find them to be very effective.. I encourage people to sign their name, and then FAX the entire petition to their Senators it also gives the average citizen an opportunity to speak directly to their elected officials with one voice without relying on the lobyists to speak for them... many lobyist are afraid to tackle "controversial" issues... I enjoy posting them... and I especially enjoy reading the comments.. when a petition is "attacked" by the liberals it just means we hit a nerve.. which is okay... and entertaining..
