My ex-wife and I got married at 21, in 1979, and had 2 wonderful boys to show for it. But for some unknown reason, wifey started the new millenum with a new job, and before 6 months had passed, she had a new boyfriend as well. I still can't understand what would make a 43 year old woman that was married for 22 years suddenly decide to leave her family and set up "house" with in another town. Anyway, last year I met another wonderful woman, with 3 boys, married her the first of this year, and am enjoying life by providing for "our" 5 kids! So now I'm with wife 2.0, a newly wed at 44. And I could'nt be happier!!!!

Two colleagues of mine went through this. Both had wives who left them and their children to shack up with another man. It devastated them and neither has remarried yet. Glad to hear you were able to find someone else.

Join the club! Neither can I, but that is exactly what my wife of 22 years did. I came home from lunch one day and boom - she was gone along with all the finances and most the art work. She said she was bored. So explain to me again why I'm supposed to want to marry? The women's movement has given me anything I want (or need) for free on the "market." And the best news is - without marriage my assets are protected!
