AB-B(^2)=A(^2)

Actually this is an incorrect statement sunce if one substitutes for each of the terms one comes out with (1*1) - 1(^2) = 1(^2). By resoloving a term we get the following equation 1 - 1(^2) = 1 (^2) Since 1 (^2) is equal to 1 we get the following 1 - 1 = 1 which is false.

Nice joke math though.

B(A-B)=(A+B)(A-B), B=A+B, A=0.So 1=0

Actually,

B(A-B)=(A+B)(A-B)
==> either B=A+B or A-B=0
==> either A=0 or A=B

That is, it needn't be true that A=0 so long as A=B.

"I went out on a date with a gal 1 time and she told me all about her old boyfriend that she tried to help get off of crack...she finally left him after a year of drama...when i told her i was not catholic, she didn't want to go out again...she didn't want the conflict....imagine that."

Your key word here is DRAMA. Seems to be what they truly seek. Gives them plenty of material when comiserating with the mother-sister-girlfriend support group. "Look at how bad I have it, because of HIM!

Hear, hear. Realistically, this is not likely to happen, but the risks are still significant. I for one would never morally be able to bring myself to comply with forced confiscation of an unjust divorce settlement or alimony. That means I'd spend the rest of my life either intentionally unemployed, or running from the law or both.

I'm a simple man who has no desire to risk living like that.

Yes and don't leave out "the ability to recognize (and dump) shallow men."

I have two handsome sons and two beautiful daughters..the older daughter I swear is growing into an Anne Coulter look alike(nearly 13, 5'8''...tall, blond). They're all in religious private school. So lets get the future of our nation off to a good start...if we don't succeed in blowing every-thing up first!

there is such a large contingent of 30-something single women, as there will always be another woman to go out with, when I get the urge.

LOL! The operative word being "urge"?

It has always been said that women hold all the cards when it comes to dating and sex

That was true until the feminists came along and convinced them to fold their hand.

Don't you have friends, who have friewnds, and you all get together ?

Strangely enough, the answer to this question is "no." I don't think I've turned down an invitation to a get together, but I don't think I've ever been to one where there were single women. I often think that these get togethers are mostly myths and urban legends. Admittedly, I'm a bad example because I've lived in five states since January, 1994. In August of '94, my employer cut its entire technology and engineering division and me with the division. I'm back in a great position now with my career, but the climb has been difficult and has involved these moves. Maybe if I had been in one place for longer, I would be more plugged into a social scene with better oppportunities.

I try not to complain too much, but I do share many of the fears and frustrations often mentioned here. The system seems very good at harassing an innocent guy who gets into an argument with his wife. It keeps harassing him even if his wife says it is just an argument and none of the government's business. Then the same system can't or won't prosecute guys who are legitimate threats because they can first seem nice and then mistreat women. To make matters worse, there are women who will keep going out with these guys even after they see what kind of scum they are. There are many custody, alimony, and child support situations that seem horrible and unreasonable beyond belief.

I think many people who would be good partners are conservative not necessarily in the political sense but in the sense of being cautious and conserving themselves against dangerous risks. Obviously, no one will ever start or sustain a relationship without being willing to take risks, but as the risks seem bigger, many good singles will be more hesitant. The result is that a nice guy who would be good for a young lady won't approach her in public because he can't be sure about her, and even if he did, she wouldn't give him her number because she can't be sure about him.

I see two "general public" areas of solutions. The first is that we continue to fight political correctness. Much of what allows manipulative women to get away with hurting men is the political correctness of seeing every woman as a victim. I think political correctness is much of the reason that women "circle the wagons" against men and men "circle the wagons" against women. The second area is that we revisit the thinking behind eliminating the so-called "marriage penalty." As I understand it, the marriage penalty only applied to families where both husband and wife were employed outside the home. It's elimination wasn't a benefit to traditional families where the husband provided financially outside the home and the wife managed the home. By eliminating the "marriage penalty" we shifted a greater tax burden onto the traditional family. (I write more about this idea at Rethinking Marriage Penalty Opposition.)

As I said in another post on this thread, I'm single because of mistakes, bad strategy, bad advice, and bad luck. I recognize that I am the one who must solve the problem for myself.

You'd rather buy one from Russia?....

I'd rather get one from Colombia myself.

"Well, the Ukraine girls really knock me out, they leave the West behind." Especially the ones in Kiev. Spent a month there last year. However - Cartagena, Colombia is another heaven on Earth. Although lately, Colombia has pretty much become hell on Earth - at least in rebel territory. Never got to Medellin or Cali - they were in the Forbidden Zone, as far as my risk-taking standards would allow.

but he celebrates the fact that he is with a woman who is fully expressed

First, I appreciate your comments here. I think it's helpful to hear both sides of this issue. With that in mind, can you elaborate a little on what "fully expressed" is?

I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with breast feeding.

Your experiences, those of my daughter and her friends, and what I've seen posted, by some, on FR, just prove my points and the screaming need for adult " finishing/dating/wooing schools " !

If I make an "A" in wooing, may I lurk outside the finishing classes?

As for men, they need "to understand if they meet a good woman, they should marry her and have children with her."

In summation, it's our fault, yet again.

If only we would robotically fall into line with the woman's wants and forsake our own, we'd be better off. The mere coincidence of meeting obligates us to change our entire lives for her convenience. Typical male-subjugating philosophy.

"Have you ever thought that maybe you 1) picked the wrong woman to marry ( those of you who are divorced and grumpy ) 2)didn't work hard enough at being married 3) took the marriage and your partner for granted 4) were part of the problem ? "

I ashamedly admit I am clueless here. We will be married 25 years in April. I still can't figure out what I did wrong.

"For those of you bemoaning the court system, there was a time, not so long ago, which, FYI lasted far longer than what we have now, when men got the children, the house, the woman's dowery, and she was left with nothing; not even a skill to support herself with and was " used goods ", into the bargin. You fellas were just born in the wrong time; that's all."

True. And things are so much better now aren't they?

"There ARE Conservative girls with brains out there. If you want to get one, you'd best polish yourself up first."

My wife said I can't have one.
