Oh, but then you aren't a man at all ; just a little boy. ;^)

Double yawn.

Like you can define me. Ha!

For people who are complaining that men are no longer masculine, you are trying very hard to emasculate me. Unsuccessfully, too, I might add.

I don't derive my self-esteem from other's opinions of me. Nor do I treat women like the Jackals do. That might be why I get a favorable reaction from the one's who I do go out with.

Okay, go out with me...I dare you!

Actually, I would have no qualms about going on a friendly date with you, despite the polar differences in our perspectives. I don't have to be romantic with every woman that I know.

Fortunately, you are 3000 miles away though.

Yawn, yawn, and oh yes, Y-A-W-N , dear. If that is a picture of you and one of the women, whom you claim are oh so interested in going out with and bedding a little boy, I am most assuredly NOT impressed, dear.

You and you alone have defined yourself with each and every reply you post. Don't take such uncalled for umbrige, when those reading your prose see you for who and what you are. Blame yourself. Me ? I call a spade a spade when a spade appears before me. :-)

We aren't polar opposites in our views. You treat women gentlemanly and they are all over you. My complaint was that men have lost that. If you have it, we are in agreement.

You can rest peacefully, secure in the knowledge that I couldn't care less about impressing you, or anyone else for that matter.

If you have to try and impress someone, then they probably aren't worth being acquainted with.

You can try to insult me all you want, but I will still continue to avoid committed relationships. And so will most other men my age. You can ascribe our unwillingness to whatever reason allows you to sleep better at night.

Don't get me wrong... I am not a womanizer per se, and I don't relentlessly pursue every woman I meet.

BUT, the one's I do go out with seem to be enjoying themselves, and usually are wanting to jump right into a relationship. I guess I should feel fortunate that they would consider me to be of that caliber, but I ALWAYS make it perfectly clear that my intentions are to date them, not to get into a relationship with them.

Men are reluctant to marry, or remarry, because they know that they will likely lose at least half, and possibly all, the assets they have accumulated over many years if divorce occurs.

Unfortunately, when most of us figure this out, it is already too late. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

You really ARE juvenile . If you weren't aiming at " impressing " or " proving " something, then you wouldn't have posted a picture of you and some female , thus implying that she " wanted " you / you can get a date / or whatever the heck you were trying to do. You care a LOT ; elsewise you wouldn't be still hammering away with your silly protestations. LOL

I don't have to " lose sleep " worrying about you and your loser ilk. I'm happily married and so is my daughter. That you imagine that I care one whit about you and your trivial little life, is delusional and narcissitic to the nth degree. Oh and FYI, many men your age ( and I'm talking solely about your physical age, dear, not your mental one ) are married or engaged, or not afraid of commitment at all. Those who are like you, have mental problems.

Over the last months I have watched and read this debate on FR. I have no idea why this war has flared up. Men need women and women need men. Men are certainly treated unfairly in the court systems. Women are plainly treated unfairly by men. I have been married for a good long while. I get upset with her and she gets upset with me. We get over it and go out and have a good time. Why is there this endless incrimiation of the relationships between women and men. It has always been there. Men and women are different for a reason.

I've had this thought for a while now. When all us single boomers start getting into our late 60's early 70's I will start a marriage service to hook up us old geezers so when one of the two die the other gets his/her partial portion of surviving SS payments. It's just a thought right now.

Am I the only one who thinks there is a deliberate attempt to destroy the family by destroying the institution of marriage?

No, you are not the only one who thinks that way.

All you are, is a case of arrested developement, filled with delusions of granduer, and braggadochio.

you're too selfish and juvenile for any decent woman to go out with.

but then you aren't a man at all ; just a little boy. ;^)

You really ARE juvenile

As I said before, you can try to insult me all you want, it only makes me smile. You seem to be able to rant with the best of them.

By the way, if you think that calling me a 'little boy' bothers me in any way, you are sadly mistaken. I actually like it. :-)

LOL, Clem, haven't we been through this before? S-E-A.

"We still do not have a set of men who are capable and comfortable with strong, accomplished women," she says. "There's a quote: 'If we are going to have a new kind of woman, we need a new kind of man.' And that's where the glitch is. We don't have that kind of man."

Great quote, and so not true. This "type" has been around for years. He's called a Charley-boy, a cotquean (good Saxon word), an Inoffensive Man; and in the 70's he was portrayed by John Ritter.
