I always wanted to plant nightshade, monkshood, and foxgloves.
Until someone told me I'd have idiot kids eating the stuff...
But nightshade does have a nice bloom on it.
(I was told I'm the only guy people know of whose garden would be a death patch. Needless to say, I'm looked at funny for that. So I only grow roses.)

Many many plants that we grow in our home gardens are terribly toxic to both animals and kids. Get a good horticultural guide for a list of the most common ones.

Remember that plants produce some of the deadliest stuff on earth. And alkaloids (sp?)...caffiene, chocolate, heroin, cocaine, sugar, just about everything that messes up a human brain comes from a plant.
