Shep Smith on FOX is going to talk about how the media is spinning the "NO SMOKING GUN" comment. Nothing else is getting the reporting but that one line...

We know they have it, pretty much the same way we called the Ukraine out on the missle hitting that passenger plane a while back. We 'see' everything now, It's just that we don't want to reveal our 'sources' someone should tell this to Saddam so he has a chance to shoot himself in the head tonight and end this thing.

U.N. weapons inspectors said Thursday they have not found any "smoking guns" but have discovered that Iraq violated U.N. sanctions by importing parts for its missile program.

So it's basically a soon-to-be smoking gun. Just as bad, in my opinion. The UN shouldn't give them a break just because they're not finished preparing to annihilate Israel (or Kuwait, or the U.S.).

ABC maybe playing for some of its long lost audience, maybe? Would be cool if they played off the script for once.

U.S. Ambassador John Negroponte called on Iraq to admit to weapons programs "it maintains, even today."

"Anything less is not cooperation and will constitute further material breach," Negroponte said, using diplomatic language that could pave the way for war.

Yeah I bet old SalamiDong is shakin' in his boots as we unload more "diplomacy" BS. Just pull the damn inspectors , Leave Blix, Bono, Sean Penn and all the rest of the bleating heart liebrals over there and Let's Roll!!!

Syria's U.N. Ambassador Mikhail Wehbe reads a statement outside the United Nations (news - web sites) Security Council after a briefing on the U.N weapons inspectors' findings on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at United Nations headquarters in New York. We have to give enough time for the inspection to finish their goals according to the 1441 resolution, said Wehbe, the only Arab member on the council. (AP Photo)

Says who?

During Blix's briefing to the Security Council, he said Iraq had admitted in its weapons declaration to importing missile engines and raw material for the production of solid missile fuel. "This import has taken place in violation of the relevant resolutions regulating import and export to Iraq."

But did he say which countries Iraq had imported these materials FROM???

Who is helping Iraq?

The UN inspectors are a classic case of the bilx leading the blix.

President Bush has the goods and he has showed some of it to Chiraq, otherwise Jacky Chiraqi wouldn't be preparing the French for what's about to happen.

Either this is more of the liberal anti-Bush propaganda, or the press is really, really dumb. Maybe both.
Have they no idea what's going on?
It doesn't matter if there's a smoking gun. We know Saddam has WMD because he's used them - twice! Under the terms of surrender, he was to destroy them.
We're looking for evidence. So far, there's no proof, evidence, paperwork, that says he did as the agreement stated.
Until SADDAM PROVES he has no weapons, we're right to replace him. Period!

Thanks for the thread and the information.

I've been babysitting a 4 year old today, so haven't been here very much. Some things that I heard were confusing, but this clears much of it up.

Thanks to you both!
