I'd like to think that people are backlashing against the secular aspects of Christmas after all this time. It got out of hand and people felt lighter in the wallet and still unfufilled. They are starting to celebrate the real reasons for Christmas and the business community had better come to grips with the new reality.

This has been a long term trend, and a welcome one from my perspective. Just my opinion.

I agree. The holiday season has become so damn commercialized, it's really sickening. We spent as little as possible, and still have a big gathering with lots of good food.

Watching commercials where the husband or wife pulls back the curtains on Christmas morning and there is a $60,000 car sitting in the driveway with a bow on it for their spouse was way to much. We just laughed at them........
