Who's surprised at any of this? Human beings are going to do human things. The sex drive is very powerful. Sins against the sixth and ninth commandments are sins of weakness, which, in the overall scheme of things, is at the bottom of the stack, if one ranked sins according to malice.

Many men and women commit suicide when a relationship goes bad. Their death causes much sadness for those who cared about them. Stop being so cavalier about the consequences of sex outside of marriage, look objectively beyond yourself.

You said
"Sins aganst the sixth and ninth commandments were sins of weakness, which,in the overall scheme of things,is at the bottom of the stack,if one ranked sins according to malice."And,I responded, using consequences as a measure of the gravity of a sin, that I thought you were pretty cavalier in your rankings. With regards malice,it comes into play in suicide because many times it is an attempt to punish the "other" for the rejection.
I guess I was trying to get you to look deeper than the usual superficial gloss over of sins of "lust" to see how extensive and deep the effects can be.
