Oh, I know. I don't think for a minute that she would rule out ANYTHING to get back in the White House.

"Hopefully we will no longer have some conservatives complaining that Bush will appoint a bunch of liberal justices or he's no different from Gore, but we probably will."
Basically, I've never bought into W. or Pappy Bush. W.'s weak personal history, the fake Texas accent, the way he holds his wrists, the one-way obsession with loyalty (remember Linda Chavez), campaign finance reform, the farm bill, the ineffective "war on terror," etc. BUT, renominating Pickering and Owen (even after Trent Lott seemed to ditch Pickering on the Black tv show) really shows something. And it takes chutzpah to propose eliminating the double tax on dividends. Let's all be optimistic: 2003 could turn out to be the year that W. finally proves himself.

Unfortunately, you're probably right. Our innocence is gone.
Too bad. You missed something great by being born too late.......and so did my kids.

Do you know whats been a good indicator of public opinion swings since 9/11? The people I work with. There are few bleeding hearts there that used to love to bust my chops. But over the years I have hammered the liberal bias in the media, the brazen criminality of the Clintons, the complete security and terror mess Clinton got us into, I could go on and on, but the day after the midterms three of the four confided in me,(seperately and privately, of course!) that they had voted for Talent because they had been steadily disillusioned by the Dems activities since 9/11. All agreed that the Wellstone pep rally was the crowning or defining moment.

Nixon 7
Carter 38
GW Bush 59
Vacancies 95

The only consequence of the overruling of Roe v. Wade would be that the elected representatives of the people would decide whether or not to allow abortions and if so on what terms.
I guess to a liberal the advent of a republican form of government would truly be the end of the world as they know it.

This really irks me..
Judges have a huge impact on our society, absolutely immense.. The rat's fight tooth and nail over this while our Republicans were missing in action here it seems.

. The mark of the beast, by the way, is membership in the Federalist Society.
Cool! Do I have to fill out an application or just give them a phone call to get in?

". . . . People for the American Way.." Strange how they define themselves as the 'American' way. Apparently they didn't accept the American way at the last election. P'haps they'll change their name to something less mis-leading.

Mr. Neas prophesies. Americans may 'wake up one morning in 2004 or in 2005 and discover that overnight they have lost fundamental rights, liberties, and protections that they thought were theirs forever.' Translation: Americans may 'wake up one morning in 2004 or in 2005 and discover overnight they have regained fundamental rights, liberties and protections they thought were theirs forever, but were stripped from them in the past 40 years by our activist, Liberal Judges.'

I know. Life was so much better for them when they could just make up stuff out of thin air, on the spot.

You mean you don't like to starve them in private prison cells on your estate( and for all those who would take this out of context this is part of a snowballing joke).
