Right.
And a nice lifestyle in Claifornia after the trial.

- Hope your friend is okay. What a nightmare.
Yes, about a week after the incident she delivered a very healthy baby boy. As for her, she is still recovering from a stab wound to the shoulder and numerous contusions to the face and body. All-in-all, considering the experience she went through, she is doing very well and is happy to be alive.

wasnt 1.5 hours each way... more or less 1.5 hours total.
although traffic coming out of modesto/patterson/tracy is pretty heavy in the early morning.

No, from what I understand, he drove from Modesto to Berkeley and back. Each way that would be approximately 85 miles with a round trip total of 170 miles. Considering that part of the drive would have to be on surface streets I estimate the time required to be about 1.5 hours each way for a total of 3 hours drive time.

Only problem for the "good" reverend Reilley was that he didn't make the calls form the location he said he was at on the message machine....the Cellular tower records confirmed he was somewhere else....Of course, like OJ, he was "not guilty" !

One of the news articles says that Scott left with his truck at about 9:30 am. It says that he went to pick up his boat at another location. The news article does not say where this location was. The police are in possession of the truck and boat/trailer. In the police photo the boat/trailer is attached to the truck. My question is, if he picked up the boat at another location, where is this location? Also, why did he return home with the boat? Why not drop off at the same location after the fishing trip was over? Also was this a preplanned fishing trip? Did Laci mention to her mother in a phone call the night before( Dec 23rd) that Scott was planning on going fishing the next day, Christmas Eve? In my opinion it was not a preplanned trip otherwise Laci would have mentioned it to her mother in the phone conversation. And being 8 1/2 months pregnant, knowing that she would be alone for the day, someone in the family would have checked up on Laci, especially her mother.

Weren't there also some death threats which turned out to have been typed from the church typewriter?

- if he picked up the boat at another location, where is this location?
I don't know the official answers to your questions, but, I would guess that he kept the boat at a storage facility where he had to go to to pick it up in the morning.
- Why not drop off at the same location after the fishing trip was over?
Once again, I don't know the official answer, but, I would guess he wanted to clean the boat of the salt water (or other fluids) before he returned it to storage.
All-in-all the guys story doesn't seen very believeable to me. I can't imagine someone going through that much trouble and driving that far to fish for only a couple of hours. If he is innocent, he sure is odd.

Once upon a time I spent 16 hours in a Labor Room with a woman who must have been your wife's twin. She was awfull and I felt very sorry for her poor verbally abused husband. How, I wondered, could they ever go back to a healthy life together? I would have NEVER wanted to touch her again if I was the father. Not only that, I would have been wounded by her vitrol in a way that changed my feelings for her.
I spent 42 hours in that labor room and they came and went but she was the worst. I read To Kill a Mocking Bird through, and finally went limp with exhaustion, but all turned out OK.
I sincerely hope it was not the husband that killed her, but common, sense tends to paint him guilty. Poor woman!

thanks!!!! Ping pbear9,rgspincich, all:
was catching KGO 810 am in SF at noon today. Reporter Mary Ellen Giest is reporting on today's events with, I forget his name in Berkeley Marina where Modesto raced over there,(KGO words), to search for something specific where Scott stated he was Dec 24th. Also, they are not saying anything of Scott and if he is a prime suspect or not in the missing caper case. The MPD is putting a gag on information being released. Also, MPD states that the public shouldn't be concern for public safety on any violent criminals loose as per Laci Peterson. My thoughts, as well as Mary Ellen Giest, is Huh! Unusual, no concern for public safety per any violent criminals out here?? Also, I didn't get to hear her other news release statements made by Laci's mom, Sharon Rocha. Did anyone hear KGO this afternoon. They will give reports all this afternoon..

either way, the driving time from Berkeley to Modesto is a moot point.
no one heard or saw Laci after 830pm on Dec 23.
To: lews
and here is the kicker to the going home time and arriving at 430 pm, it is Christmas Eve, height of the I80/I580/I680 traffic patterns, add time for traffic incidents, and shopping traffic, and was it raining that day? This adds up on the going home time, so he left Berkeley somewhere around 230-3pm, an approximate travel time home would be about 2 hours. I travel the I580/I680 daily, and keep tend to keep track of traffic patterns. And the traffic pattern on the Livermore area would start to be heavy at around the 3pm traffic zone.

hmmmmmmm....Don't let your wife see that post.
I can let her see the post if she wants to see it. She STILL brags about that point in our lives. :-)

Yes, odds are Laci would have told her Mom, because she would have mentioned Scott was going fishing and she perhaps "hoped" he would be home in time for dinner, maybe give her a hand with the meal? Maybe even have some "fish" for the family to eat? Hummmm?

Right. And shouldn't he have stopped for bait along the way? Gas for the boat?
I don't think things are looking too good for him.

Christmas Eve is like the most important part of our Christmas celebration...
Many families celebrate Christmas on Christmas, not the day before.
