I've caught cops sleeping on duty, been in their vehicles while they were drinking and driving and generally had to do their job for them because they're lazy or otherwise occupied. Yeah, they put up with crap; so do teachers. Big deal. This one is a trigger-happy POS, IMO.

I have felony arrest powers and I use them. Cops are issued badges, not haloes.
