Thank you daisy for writing such a beautiful tribute to one of my favorite FReeper FRiends. Thanks always to Billie for putting together this wonderful page.

MHG made a great impression on me from the first day I read one of his posts. I was impressed by his beautiful and thoughtful prose and even more by his generosity in offering his letters to us so that we can participate -- even though we see through a glass darkly -- in what we surely know to be God's work.

To say that MHG is a tireless advocate for the unborn is an understatement. He puts the rest of us to shame with prolific posts reminiscent of Stephen King. (Prolific -- it even sounds like prolife; both words fit MHG perfectly!) The difference is Stephen King writes only to tell entertaining stories and MHG writes stories that matter most. Stephen King wrote a novel called Misery about a writer forced to write a story to save his own life. MHG writes with the same intensity of purpose, except his purpose is to save the lives of countless unborn others instead of his own.

To say that MHG is a decent, caring person is obvious to anyone who knows him even through a flawed medium like the internet. It's said that you can judge a person's morality by the way they treat those more helpless than themselves. MHG passes that test with flying colors. His is the voice continually crying in the wilderness on behalf of the weakest and most helpless of us all.

Mother Theresa once described herself as a pencil in God's hand. My FRiend MHG gives what he has written to others so we can be as pencils in God's hand too.

May God bless you always, my FRiend. I'm proud to know you and proud to be able to call you my friend. In every sense of the word MHG, you truly are one of FR's Finest.
