As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Yup....for composting....I cook with LOTS of veggies, and have a garden (city type) so I love the thought of having worms do the work and helping with my garden, too. (Actually, I'm just like my great-grandmother - kind of obsessive about saving things, i.e. scraps, etc....no waste here if we can avoid it....LOL....drives me and my husband crazy sometimes....and I'm getting better.)

Yes I put the lights on. It's so peaceful to just sit in the living room - which we rarely use - AFTER Christmas. Once the rush is over, it's a great place to just sit quietly and reflect. I highly recommend it.

Nope. She was in an interview with (snipped opinion) Isaac Mizrahi a couple of nights ago, and I muted him and listened to her.
She was mentioning her academia while on there, and that her work was paying for her schooling. She also has turned down roles that were too risque for the image she wants (I think Audrey Hepburn is about right) and the quality of roles that she insists on.

LOL. Might be wise to remove the tag. On the other hand, it might make people curious. Nighty night all. I'm going to sleep now. God bless.

LOL! I just realized that I'd better take off my tag line before I go on any other threads!! I know...I thought the same thing! People would really wonder about us, eh?
I read the article about W being romantic. Looking forward to the Good Housekeeping interview. Ya know, she has also said that he is very exciting! Hmmm...romantic, exciting...

NO problem, Gretchen. I didn't want to make him mad or anything, but what he said to you was
stupid, and I thought I should put in my 2 cents worth.
He was a bit on the sensitive side, don't you think? You handled it well! Kudos!

Thanks to all who have congratulated me on the news buried in yesterday's Dose. It's a great feeling to have been working at something for a long time and be able to see the results.

Yes, poor actors indeed. Once upon a time, in more rational days apparently, actors were regarded as mad and not fit for the company of decent folk who shunned them. How far we have fallen when the opinions these people express are actually given the slightest credence!

OK .. I found another post which might explain it better

Well, see, Frist had a deal with them to bring up what umemployment bill first, to get it passed.
He introduced Hillary as a sponsor. When she was recognized, she immediately said she wanted to AMEND the bill to make it for ALL unemployed people for 26 weeks (in other words, they sandbagged Frist.)
Then Daschle gets into it, saying why can't we do it for 26 weeks, for ALL the people, not just a few...blah blah blah.
Finally, Santorum had had enough. He asked to be recognized and said (something along the lines of -- but almost exactly this) "Senator, just what exactly is wrong with THIS bill today? This is the VERY SAME bill that YOU proposed and that YOU passed while you were Majority Leader.......now WHAT is wrong with this bill now? Or are you playing politics."
It was ABSOLUTELY fabulous!

Hmmm...romantic, exciting...You can see it in his eyes, his strut and his touch.......he couldn't hide that side of him if he tried!
Can't wait to see the article myself, Wphile. I hope Laura lets her hair down in it a little. She's always just a bit guarded (which I understand), but wouldn't it be fun if she said just a little bit more about their 'close relationship' that she always talks about?!
W4T, I have absolutely nothing to say about El Gato's post! ;o)
Well, 1:00 two nights in a row is a bit much even for me! Good night, all!!

Talk about mad: Did you hear what Liz Taylor yelled at the Kennedy Center Honors? John Travolta said that he used to dream of her naked and she yelled out that she wasn't wearing any underwear. And right in front of the President and First Lady. No respect and no brains!

Laura does a much better job of containing herself. Dubya, on the other hand, can't keep his eyes, lips, and hands off of her!
Good night Ohio!
