As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Wouldn't it be cool if Laura wrote a book someday She's a teacher and librarian by training and trade. I'm sure she will.

"Is that really Daley?"
That was my question when I saw the photo. Is that really Daley getting his cheek patted by President Bush? Wow! That's a far cry from that election night in 2000 when Daley stepped up to the mike and reported that Gore had withdrawn his concession. I never thought I'd see the day when Richard Daley would support any proposal the President had made. I better look out my window to see if pigs are flying.

I told dutchess that I would scrape some skin off my cheek and put it in a ziplock bag for her. :o)
Yes, I keep later hours when I don't have classes. My natural clock tends toward nightowlism.
However, tonight, I'm taping Brit Hume for mr Ohio because we both missed it at 6:00 because of daughter's swim meet.
Why are YOU still up, lady?

Clooney should really keep his uninformed opinions to himself. Not that he doesn't have a right to speak his mind, however, every time he opens his mouth about politics, it's obvious he's just a pretty face. Much better not to let people know what an idiot he is.

Pretty much the same reason you are. I'm a night owl. Worked like a Trojan all day. I needed to unwind. And, I'm watching Brit because I missed him earlier. At least I now have my Christams decorations down and put away. (except the artificial tree).

I think they're made out of something tougher than brass or steel... Titanium maybe? Very strong, and light so the weight of the "big ones" doesn't slow him down.

Even nut cases respond to $$$. However, in the case of NK, they would be better motivated for change from within by having the other nations within their region (China, Japan, SK) resolve this issue.
After listening to some of the pieces, I get the feeling that they are accustomed to having someone dole out the necessities while the ruling party spends their own capital on Nuclear expansion. (or, in other words, they are getting their welfare funds turned off, and still won't spend the remaining wealth on the people rather than turn off the growing (and gambling on it) nuclear program.
the next question will be: How long will people accept the party line of sacrifice and starvation for the sake of a nuclear reactor. (and then selling the manufactured material to third parties who could come up and bit you on the ***.)

These poor actors. They think they know a thing or two about politics and then open their big mouths because they know they are right and think the rest of America wants to hear their ideas. Then they say something stupid, and make me realize that they probably dropped out of HS to become an actor. They think they are so smart!

There is Richard Daley and William Daley. Richard is the mayor and William is the moron who ran Gore's campaign. I think W has a pretty good relationship with Mayor Daley. He's been to Chicago a number of times now and always praises him.

It isn't a link. It is the info you
type to go to a specific page, which
has mjy1288's post on Santorum.
Or you can find it by searching for
the "Frist" thread from earlier today.

Oh, dear. I am staring into the face of our Christmas tree, replete with decorations!
We used to make sure we had them down by daughter #1's birthday on January 4th, but, alas no more..... at 23, you don't much care if Christmas interferes with your birthday!
Unfortunately our elder 2 are already gone, and Eric goes soon, leaving Mom, Dad and daughter #2.....who always has something else to do.....to take everything down!
I'm taking my lead from the President, and doing it incrementally! :o)

Clooney should really keep his uninformed opinions to himself. No kidding! Sheesh...the hubris of these people. Do they really think we care one iota what they think? It is unbelieveable to me how moronic they all are. Oh well, Clooney's another one to add to my growing list of actors I will no longer patronize. I hope his next film tanks!!
