A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 1/7/03

As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

It takes time to prepare for war. LIttle things....Food, water, medical supplies, transportation, are not just done over night. The bomb factories add staff and work day and night.
NKorea just wants to take the worlds mind off of what is really happening in their country. Talk about a child screaming for attention. Any teacher could name several students exhibiting the same disfunctional "help me" behavior.

I completely forgot they were on. Sometimes my Tues. Nights get so hectic. I don't think that I have seen the last four episodes. Was it a good one tonight?

Well, mr Ohio wrote a letter to the President last summer, in June, I think, handwritten on stationery, and included a copy of A Very Different Kind of Summer and got a letter back in the fall.

I wrote a letter to Laura in August, typewritten, and included four sketches I had drawn, a picture of my kids (one of Eric in uniform), along with a copy of my essay on Eric, and got a very personal letter back in a little over a month.

I've read that Laura always answers her mail....... that was a while ago, but I assume she still does.

Does that help?

I'm not too worry about NK .. because my thinking is China DOES NOT want us over in their backyard

Besides .. this is a UN problem and the UN needs to start addressing it

It was the UN agreement that NK broke .. it was the UN cameras that NK took down and it was the UN inspectors that NK throw out

Besides .. if NK even tried to send a bomb our way .. They would be HISTORY .. GONE .. POOF

That does help. Thank you.

And I will take the time to read the wonderful piece you wrote about your son.

I just wanted to write to the President and let him know that I'm thinking about him and praying for him in these tough times. Sometimes he looks very stressed, and hopefully a little encouragement will lift him up a bit.

I just love this. GW is listing what he wants: boom, boom, boom. Let's say he wants 25 things, he'll demand 30 and get 26. I just love this guy. He is just so-o-o dumb, you know.

GW is so organized and effective. And then I hear statements like the one George Clooney made in the QC article, that GW is "dim". What a maroon!

Clooney says GW is not a leader, he's a manager, or some such idiotic description. Well, it's about time we had a president who could actually manage this country, which W seems to be running like a major corporation. In fact, it seems entirely appropriate that all our presidents should have a business background rather than what we've had in the past for the most part.

Talk about someone being over--Clooney is.

Yea and the NK better hope that they don't get the HTIC riled up. I have a feeling that once Iraq is dealt with, that NK will get in line.

Yes, agree! As I said. I think their behavior is actually a scream for help. SO poor! Help us! Look how we helped Japan after the WWII.

RATS are so busy phoning Bill Clinton for advice on how to spin thie latest Bush move and along comes another bold move.

You could say he's operating inside their spin cycle. (I hope Col. Boyd would be pround of him. Boyd is sometimes called the architect of the air war for Gulf War I, and the "father" of the F-16 too!)

I can't believe that Clooney said that! (ok, maybe I can)

I'm sure he'd much prefer having Al Gore running the country because he would do just an absolutely fabulous job! If I had the opportunity in the last prez. election, I would have voted for Gore! (an excessive amount of sarcasm)

Okay...I'm on post 186 but I just had to respond to you.

Did you notice that W DID NOT cut his hair today? LOL! I was so worried I had jinxed it again. In fact, it was the first question I asked of Ohio.

I heard the speech on the radio...W was absolutely awesome. What a magnificient start - this is the best economic model in the world, people still dream of coming to work and live in America, our workers are the best, etc.

And then Pickering and Owens. Oh, what a grand day.

Also noticed that all the team is on the same page. I heard Evans on Hannity - he was fantastic - Mitch Daniels on Cramer (terrific) and someone else but I can't remember now. Anyway, great job W.

Did you see Hardball tonight .. the financial experts .. even the liberal one agreed that Bush's New Economic Plan was great for the Country .. and Chris tells them he thinks they are all wrong .. UNBELIEVABLE .. the man is off his rocker ..

I would almost want to say the malaria ate his brain, but he's been demented for some time now. Chrissie seems irrational at times.

Girl, are you still up? LOL, I guess you can keep late hours while you're not working. dutchess says you must promise some bit of GWB DNA from your cheek if we meet for lunch. That's her condition for meeting. 21st looks ok for her. Now for a restaurant.
