As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

A superb day for the country today. Did y'all hear the "thanks" at the beginning of our W's speech? He thanked Mayor Daly (really cute opening about how much they had in common - famous brothers, parents who were in politics, and they both married above themselves). He said he and Mayor Daly put their country above their parties to get things done. It was a very generous tribute to Daly, considering his whackjob brother tried to help steal the election. You MUST see the beginning on CSpan tonight.
I always watch Chris Matthews, Mo & W4T. I like most of his guests - is this SM ?? LOL Pat Caddell is my favorite - he is a genuine old time Democrat. But when he has on some people like that wicked witch Katrina - I recoil in horror. She is some kind of miserable b!tch. His new Sunday morning show is much less hyper than the MSNBC show.
I never made it through the entire thread yesterday. Wow, lots of twists and turns on that one. LOL.

Is Helen Thomas even human? She must be the most ugliest creature I have ever seen. My son says Madeline Albright is the ugliest woman that has ever lived. It is a close contest, isn't it?

That's cute. He mentioned the married up thing again.

Hitlary, Daschle, Gephardt, Jeffords, McCain- they are all becoming SO apparently inconsequential, and they are doing so in public. As much as hate to hear them speak, it is kinda fun to watch.

I'm still laughing over that one Is it now politically incorrect to say "hunger"? And do the Dems realize how totally ridiculous they sound? And can you imagine President Bush's reaction to "food insecurity"? I think I can hear him laughing from here.
