As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Spratt is a House Rep from SC, and he
has a leadership job with Pelosi. He
lies. He's mean. That's about IT!

I just thought I would mention this, since the press won't notice this until 2015.Ah, Miss Marple, your sarcasm is showing!

Ocaasionally I will watch the Senate or House on C-SPAN just to see what they are up to. A few times they would spend their precious time debating the most assenine topics. And like 20 different people would talk about how we need to fund a turtel park so they can exercise (I don't know if they really debated that.) Sometimes it's rediculous how much time and money they wasted debating this stuff. Maybe with a Republican Congress, important stuff will actually get done this year.

Matthews has gone over the edge! His ratings are only slightly above Donahue's now. I can't believe what he has become. I stopped watching him quite awhile ago. He and Donahue don't sound much different...they are tanking together. Fox News Channel is certainly not perfect but I'll take them any day over CNN and MSNBC. For a long time now, Matthews has criticized the President over everything and he wants hillary to run for president - he loves her. That tells you all you need to know. Every once in awhile I watch 2 minutes of his show and that's all I can take.

His brother is my County Commissioner .. and he's a Republican .. LOL
Chris like to brag about being from Philly and middle class and going to LaSalle .. I don't know how middle class his parents are but let me tell you LaSalle is NOT a cheap school to go to ..

Bush at War was ok, but I liked Fighting Back much better.
I really don't think that there will be a negative book written about Dubya. Unless some liberal journalist decides to twist around all the good deeds that Dubya has done and make it sound like he has done terrible things. (They normally do.)

I liked when Frist said something like, "well, they can blather on for four hours if they want to, but I don't have to sit here and listen to it."
What a nightmare that would be, having to listen to the likes of Daschle, et al for four hours.

Awwww...you're a good mama! I got sick New Year's Day and today is the first day I felt anything close to normal. Tell your daughter that it is her duty to take care of her Mom because she's a Bush Bot. We need extra care, right?

I don't care for Chris - therefore, I never watch his show. But ... your description of his reaction doesn't surprise me.

Fighting Back didn't really go very in-depth about all the military attacks. It was more of a narrative of what happened before during and after September 11th and not just on the military front and not just from the president and his principals. I thought it was a great read, and I reccomend it. Hope that helps.
