TLB...
The core membership of both parties are of the lemming type, typical non thinking follow the leader people. This being a conservative forum, I often wonder what they are doing here. They are easy to spot, they identify themselves by going on the personal attack mode whenever someone expresses a different idea. This is a indication that they do not think or observe on their own.

You do realize that I was referring to your use of "ratty rat" as being childlike, don't you?

It was developed earlier today to minimize all the left wing verbal garbage.
TAX CUTS FOR TAXPAYERS! says it all.
I have a single son who gets killed as a single tax payer. Then, our older son and his wife get hammered with the marriage penalty and the because of their income. I'm retired on a pension and social security, and my wife works 3 days a week, and we get hammered tax wise.
So evolved my tag line: TAX CUTS FOR TAXPAYERS!
TAX CUTS FOR TAXPAYERS! would make a nice bumper sticker.

Good evening Miss Marple...Is that an expression of desire to be on the lemming list????

Ahem, I am in the South.
And it is not I who was so willing to cut the throats of the people of MY state or MY South to save my sorry butt.
It was Trent Lott who turned his back on his state, his "South," Charles Pickering, and the GOP when he sold his soul on BET to save his sorry A$$ and job.
And if your definition of being a "good" conservative means you have to post like an idiot or a bigot, then I don't want to be one.

You don't have much of a Southern heritage if you can't spell "seceding."

Funny thing is that the same people who were threatening to withhold their vote for him then are still threatening to withhold their vote for him now.The real question is did they ever vote for him at all? They will claim they did but I sincerely doubt it. People that voted for Bush do not criticize every word he says or every single thing he does. They come here to divide us, just as the Dems try to do with the entire country. These people have never been supporters of this President - not in 2000 and not now.
To: Dog
Excellant!
A lot of the pundits were saying Pickering was dead along with Lott's problems. Glad to see W put a good man's name back into consideration.

What are you going to do trash everyone that isn't in lockstep with your childish ways? I thought that was your job. Do you think we don't all remember you willingly trashing George W. Bush to defend Trent Lott, the bigot?
We're not all as dense as you are.

No. It is a graphic way to tell you guys that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
Feel free to keep up your same type of presentation. I am not intimidated, nor do I think your outlook is correct.
I am sure your attitude will win a lot of converts to your cause.

And you can bet when it comes time to defend Pickering, it will NOT be Trent Lott who makes his case.

He was quite assertive, didn't weasel like lott always did. Asked about Pickering, didn't speak out both sides of his mouth.
Sorry I can't be more specific - it was his overall demeanor, his way of answering that I found refreshing.
Asked whether the arcane rules of the Senate might be troublesome, he said that the first heart-lung transplant he did, he surrounded himself with the best experts; planned to use the same approach as Majority Leader. I was cheering - I hadn't really heard him in action before. He was very self-assured.
