Shadowfax is awesome! He was one of my favorite "charcters" from my first reading of the books many years ago. It was a real thrill to see him in the movie galloping across the plain.

I was so pleased that they went to the extensive extra time and training it took for Shadowfax to be ridden 'At Liberty' in the movie. It is one of the details from the book that would have been easy for a lesser moviemaker to skip over.
