I was so pleased that they went to the extensive extra time and training it took for Shadowfax to be ridden 'At Liberty' in the movie. It is one of the details from the book that would have been easy for a lesser moviemaker to skip over.

Same here, but I certainly would have noticed his absence. I hated that the ponies were eliminated. A horse lover notices those things. But then you know that. ;-)
