I find it interesting that in answer to Islam's violence against innocents abroad, that many of my FReeper friends advocate more violence against innocents domestically.

It's a sad statement.

They do owe the American people an accounting based on the hospitality, tolerance and welcome offered to them.

But apart from simple human principles of dignity and fellowship to the citizens of your adopted country, there is also self preservation, venal and selfish as it is.

There is no injunction to "owe" and explanation and your forthright statement that none will be forthcoming expemplifies that arrogance and conceit better than the islamis themselves.

If push ever came to shove, would they prefer to be in the postion they're in now where people doubt their loyalty and dedication to their adopted country or one where the American people would be better convinced of their credibility as American citizens.

It's their call. Any backlash that's been repressed will have nasty consequences not only for them but for many others, including non muslims. Even Europeans, i know of a Portugese radio journalist beaten up in NY after the Attacks and even Sicilians getting into trouble.

Far be it from the mohammadans to have any sympathy for nonmussalmans, what about their own skin.

Well, SG, that's his story and he's sticking to it. Nothing short of a massive dose of sodium pentothal (which I do not advocate, because it would be a waste of good chemical resources) would budge this guy. face it. He's out -- waaaaaay out -- in left field.

Isn't it amazing how the LEFT WING in this country so vigorously defends something as VIOLENTLY REACTIONARY as ISLAM by wrapping up his assertions (they are not really arguments) in our precious Constitution -- the very document which both Western Leftists and Islamo-fascists work furiously every day of their miserable lives to undermine.

If they succeed, it will be interesting to see what happens when they turn on EACH OTHER -- as indubitably they must -- interesting to see IF we are still AROUND that is. That WILL be dubious, if Joffha and his ilk get their way.
