Oh yeah! Funny.... The other day I was searching for something in my daughter's linen closet and saw my very first hair dryer sitting there!
It was/is blue, with that long tube and that poofy cap that swelled when you turned the motor on! And the exhaust on the side dried your nail polish at the same time.
Remember those round rollers with the plastic sticky stuff that stabbed you in the head? Before that dryer, I slept in those rollers!

LOL, yes I remember those rollers. Once you finally got your head in a comfortable position on the pillow, you did not change it all night.
Did we really go through all that pain for boys?

The hose thing lay on my arm long enough to give me a second degree burn. I guess it didn't occur to my parents to sue Sunbeam in a product liability action, but back then, people didn't sue for every little thing.

ROFLMAO.........oh, you've given me SUCH a laugh. The things we did to our HAIR........we actually MIXED UP "chemicals" to "frost" ours and used bathing caps with holes punched in them with crochet hooks!.....it's a wonder we're not all bald!

Before the hair-dryers and rollers, there were those horrid 'pin curls' with a bobby pin pushed thru them. Every once in a while, I see some woman with pin curls, and I wonder if she ever grew up. If you wore them during the day, they were covered up with that ugly wrapped scarf. You still see the scarf in old war movies.
