Jake Tapper, who used to write for Salon, and I remember from covering the campaign in 2000, now shows up in the Weekly Standard with this excellent article.

How interesting. I wonder if Mr. Tapper has reconsidered some of his opinions.

Very interesting. I think there are probably some ethical journalists who just float along with the party line and then suddenly, when confronted by reality, wake up - and Tapper may be one of them.

As for Hassaine, I'm always impressed by people like him who take on a totalitarian regime - be it Communism or Islam - and pit themselves against it. A good and informative article, thanks, pokey.
