Did you notice they are quick to declare Fox as conservative media, but never opine about ABC,CBS,NBC and CNN. Its like they're whistling past the graveyard, they are finally getting it.

You know, I believe George W. is actually playing the political game correctly. He seems to be using market principles - That is - how best to sell the conservative product? Keep the competition off balance, offer everything they do, but at the same time offer something better. How long he can be successful, before he surcomes to the sirens, (remembering Reagan's second term) remains to be seen. I salute him and wish him well.

Are you aware that CNN has completely different broadcasts from what we get here in the USA that air all over the globe?

Oh ya...night and day difference...I agree

However...you are gonna have a tough sell peddeling Freedom and self determination to peoples who live under the jackboot...

No way in the world Fox can compete in this arena...

There is no such thing as the Liberal message. All they have is arrogance, ignorance, and spin. Their most effective use of the media is slander against conservatives through fiction (like the Frank Burns character in MASH). Truth is to Liberalism as Daylight is to vampires. There is no such thing as truth to the minority of folks who really beleive in Liberalism; the rest of Liberals are just those who have been conditioned to think that conservatives are mean.

"Yes, they are Fair and Balanced,.."

There is a Hannity-Colmes lookalike show on CNN or MSNBC with two jerks (kudlow & Cramer). One just scowls and yells from beginning to end. I van't stand it and don't think I have ever seen the other guy! What a collection of tripe.

MEMO TO MORON LEFTISTS: ITS NOT THE MESSENGERS, ITS THE MESSAGE

Exactimundo.

Which leads one to think ...
If the message does not resonate with the vast audio audience, are there really that many dopes who are 'liberal'?

I think we're very close to exposing the whole anti-American force(s) that have had too much to do for so long.

What an outrageous report. Lumping FNC with Rush L. and Drudge is ridiculous, as much as I enjoy their views. And Sean Hannity has a *program* on FNC, and he is given equal time with his liberal counterpart, Alan "I still believe OJ was innocent" Colmes. Must give Alan credit though for not pandering to Al Gore when Al drippily tried to coax him to admin that FNC was a "right wing" news network. These people are *insane*. I would like to see Roger Ailes come out and attack these last few media cycles claiming FNC is some platform for the Republican party. It's winning because it is Fair and Balanced. And what a wonderful slogan at that. FNC is the first Fair and Balanced "real" on-the-minute news outlet EVER, and the dems don't know what to do with themselves. Cripes.

Amusingly, I saw ads today on FNC touting an online service which allows you to find and book hotels based on which ones carry FNC on their in-house cable. That's a riot.

I haven't seen that yet but it's good news to me. I travel a lot (on business) and I make note of the hotels I stay in that have FNC and try to return to them. Nothing worse than finishing a long day and finding that the hotel only offers 5 local channels (with 2 of them Hispanic) and CNNHN. Yuck.

For the first time in a while I heard FOXNews but on satellite radio and it was so different and refreshing, I couldn't believe it. I actually heard a story about how Christianity is the largest religion in the world NOT Islam and that Christianity is supposed to grow even larger in the next decade. When is the last time anyone heard that kind of news on CNN, etc. All the Islamic lovefests on PBS and company would make anyone think that they are taking over the world (I'm sure they want us to think that!)

Now, it would sound, obviously, like special pleading to argue about this, but what is undeniable is that the conservative belief that their views are not given a fair shake has led to a significant form of advocacy on the right, a kind of modern-day pamphleteering, that does not have any real equivalent on the left.

Jeff Greenfield trots out the establishment media party line -- that the conservatism of the new media is somehow different (and by implication, more objectionable) than the relentless liberal bias that he and his colleagues have raised to an art form over the last few decades.

And of course, their reaction is familiar. Anything that threatens the leftist agenda becomes Topic A on all the news shows, is swiftly and comprehensively denounced, and the threat generally recedes.

But this time, the problem they face is a new one -- the destruction of their own credibility. Increasing numbers of people now see the "news" they once took for granted as an ideologically-driven cocktail of double standards, cheap shots and careful omissions. But the missing information and other perspectives are now available elsewhere, on the hated conservative radio shows, newscasts, and online forums that flourish outside their control.

What to do? Merely badmouthing the conservative outlets won't work -- their customers don't trust the establishment media's opinions anyway -- and neither will lying about their own bias. It's far too blatant to hide or explain away.

They can't win on a level playing field. In fact, they're getting creamed in an arena they still largely control. So what's left?

Well, like good leftists everywhere, they'll try to silence the opposition.

The approach is obvious, and already under way. Define all conservative opinion as hate speech: extremist by definition, far beyond the realm of socially permissible discussion. Check out any college campus for a preview. But that probably isn't going to work -- even considering the courts, the leftists simply doesn't have the necessary level of political control. They don't seem optimistic themselves; hence the big push to counter the conservative uprising with a "liberal Fox News" or a "liberal Rush Limbaugh."

This cheerful fantasy overlooks the fact that leftist domination of the information channels created the pent-up demand behind the explosive growth of the conservative media. No similar suppression of leftist opinion exists, even, interestingly enough, at Fox News itself.

So, good news, all in all. The leftist media is having increasing difficulty selling its agenda, is shrinking in size, and appears not to have much in the way of options.

Well, there might be one. The first establishment news outlet to go public with an admission of chronic liberal bias, a promise to make amends, and a serious lineup revision would probably see their ratings stop bleeding overnight.

"It has come to our attention that Americans overwhelmingly support policies such as reducing the size of government, cutting taxes, ending affirmative action and making partial-birth abortion illegal. We've also noticed that our past news broadcasts have unfailingly opposed such actions. This will change, starting Monday morning."

Personally, I wouldn't stand on one foot waiting.

-----

The huge, gaunt creature faced grimly into the cold wind, waiting for a useful idea to form in its tiny brain. Occasionally it reached down to snap at one of the new animals that stole the food from its very jaws, but they were far too quick. The decrepit behemoth bellowed its rage into the stinging sky, once, again, and then fell silent, considering the warm, gentle bubbles that rose from a nearby pool of darkness.

The tar pits were sticky, and inviting.

Oh come on people, Fox may be the most watched, but it is still globalist propaganda with conservative frosting.

Well, you'll always have shortwave radio.
