I have posted my own idiosnycratic view as to where I would come out on the case (absent being on SCOTUS and really having to think it through, although on this one, my views are something more than off the cuff), supporting the U of M in part, and not in part. What praytell is the "above." I hope and trust it is not the spam.

And Howard has done wonders for lesbians.
To: Torie
The "above" was refering to an excerpt from the article stating:
"The White House is also said to be staying out of the Supreme Court case of a woman kept out of the University of Michigan because of her skin color: white."
I was hoping there was some action taken by the administration on this, contrary to what's written in the article.

Let's make sure the Northcomms are good and fattened up before we have to war with them...unbelievable.

"Bush was given a landslide in November and he has no excuss to go left."On the contrary -- Dubya may go even further "left" or centrist if polls indicate conservative support isn't appreciably affected by his administration's lack of implementing any semblance of a conservative agenda thus far.
Someone's got to hold Bush's "feet to the fire" - if not Rush, then who??
To: TLBSHOW
OK .. and what's your point ..
Does this mean today you like Bush?

...The notion that it was never about Lott, but rather about tarring every Republican and conservative as a Ku Klux Klansman in the Robert Byrd mold, was not recognized immediately by as many people as it should have been.
Rush Limbaugh ...and when it sinks in to white southern' pubs that in effect they have all been slandered as closet racists by the RINO Republican establishment, who just knew the evil in Lott's heart because he was raised in the south and therefore had to be at least a separatist no matter what he said, and thereby justified their abandonment of him, there may well be many less votes in the GOP column for many elections to come......
To: Jhoffa_
doesn't look good for the republicans does it? They want to run scared but Rush will be there to trip up their gutlessness.

I would hope the administration would take a view, or explain why it is in absolute equipoise on this matter, and thus will not for that reason. This is too important an issue to take a bye. That would not find favor in this direction. In the end though, I don't think SCOTUS will give a hoot what the administration thinks. This is one of those hard wiring issues. But my comment stands.

You rarely respond to a direct post to you--if the poster disagrees with you, I see.
You simply obfuscate and point to something different (as in the speech you posted) in response to who-knows-what.
So...am I to assume that you don't (won't) think for yourself but blindly follow whatever columnist or radio personality you read or listen to--as in Rush and Coulter? Why are you willing to believe these two are NEVER wrong? Or am I to assume that you CAN think for yourself and respond to points made to you on this thread?
I, for one, tire of your tap dancing. You seem to only want to stir the pot against the current administration WITHOUT actually engaging in any dialogue with those who take the time to address you.
Your form of response, to those who disagree with you, is to take the thread off on yet another tangent with 'cut and paste' jobs that are meaningless in the context of the poster's points. But those who agree with you get your immediate and direct responses.
This debating technigue of yours certainly keeps YOUR feet away from the fire, doesn't it, TLB?
